Team Sniper Connor Tartaglione Commits to Lake Forest College for the 2021/2022 SEASON

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Somerset, NJ – The Protec Jr. Ducks are proud to announce that Junior “A” forward Connor Tartaglione has committed to Lake Forest College for the 2021-22 season.

Tartaglione, 20, joins Lake Forest College after netting 13 goals and chipping in 13 assists for 26 points on the year in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL). The Protec Jr Duck expressed his excitement about the decision to join Lake Forest.

“I am extremely honored and excited to announce my commitment to play college hockey and further my education at Lake Forest College. I want to thank my family and friends for helping me along the way with the early morning skates and traveling across the US to play the sport I love. I would not have become the person or player I am today. Without them, my dream of playing college hockey could not be possible. Also, I want to thank all my past coaches that helped me develop into a strong and confident person and hockey player. As well, I would like to thank all my teammates throughout the years for the incredible journey. I am excited for the next four years at Lake Forest and looking forward to becoming a Forester.”

The Jr. Ducks’ leading playoff scorer also mentioned coach Terry Watt and the Protec Ducks organization for their help and support during the season and in the recruiting process. “I can’t thank them enough for great junior hockey experience. Protec is a great spot to develop your game, play with good teammates and prepare yourself for the next level. It was the right decision to join the Ducks and I really enjoyed my time there.  I know the program will continue to grow and compete for future EHL Championships.”

While the Jr. Ducks are in their inaugural season, the squad clinched home-ice advantage for the EHL’s first round of playoffs. It’s arguably no coincidence that Protec finished the 2020-21 campaign on a six-game winning streak with the help of Connors play down the stretch.

“We couldn’t be happier for Tags, he was a player that came in from day one and made an impact on our teams’ offense, he did his speaking on the score sheet with some big-time game winning goals towards the end of the season.”- Coach Terry Watt

“The EHL is a strong and competitive league that prepares its players for the next level. On any giving day, you must be on your game because if you don’t show up to play anyone can win. The league is extremely organized and works hard to help its players achieve their goals.” – Connor Tartaglione

Protec is skating in its inaugural season for the EHL and is a member of the league's South Division.
